6th class visit to Shannon Technical Services

Shannon Technical Services (STS) welcomed Mr. Glynn’s 6th class to their fantastic facility last Thursday, November 6th.  Lucia and Michael gave the students a tour of the facility and explained what the staff of STS do.  It gave a great insight into the importance of the aviation business to Shannon and the wider region.  The students were also treated to a lovely lunch.  After that, the class went to the Marilyn Monroe room where an hour-long Q + A session was held.  Staff members Michael, Larry, Devin and Podge answered lots of questions from the students about work, careers, study, sport and life balance.  We thank them for giving generously of their time.  Deputy CEO Don Sammon also took time out to meet the students and to give them encouragement and direction.  All in all, it was a lovely visit and a strengthening of the close links between St. Conaire’s NS and our friends in Shannon Technical Services.
